My Main Ride

Started
off on a Sporty 28 years ago, I think that makes that motor a
vintage Evolution. Crazy huh? Back then the Evolution Sporty was only 1 year old and had just taken over from the Iron head sporty. 1986 the first Sporty Evo's appear and 1985 for the first big twin Evo's..

I had gone to Harley School to become a tech and I know it was a long time ago because we worked on Panheads, Iron Sporties, the 66-69' Pan-Shovel and the Shovelhead. There wasn't one Evo in class yet lol.

You know your old when you know what points are or a Magneto (no not an X-men) is or if ya ever hand tuned your linkert or S&S carb before.

Anyway, I finally gave in to comfort and got me a 2006 FLHRCI you see here, brand new which I just paid off actually. She's my main squeeze now. Our biggest ride together so far was the 1100 miles from Phoenix, AZ to Euless, TX and boy was that an adventure, she and I both got battle scars from that one. It's not bad enough that illegal aliens do not respect the immigration laws but they also do not hold driving laws in high regard as well. Me and "baby" got rear-ended on the way to TX. Almost killed me, and she got a banged up skirt. But I hung onto her and she never fell over, the cop and fire fighters right there when it happened couldn't believe it. Anyway enough of my adventures.

Thanks to Sierra Vista H-D for patching me up and getting me on the road so quick so I could get home and to Adam's H-D in TX for patching up baby to better than new condition. And to Bedford Back & Neck for kinda patching me up.

I still have a soft spot for that first Sporty though and still own it as well and that's why this page exists. Call it a second chance on life for an old EVO engine. She deserves it.

Still procrastinatin'

Well things are moving along slower than expected. Health ain't so good, the damage from that last rear impact to me and the bike by that illegal alien bitch was worse than I figured at the time.

Both shoulders tingle all the time now, which is odd because the day of the accident I only felt some stiffness, now its getting progressively worse. Feels like billions of ants crawling across my back or like someone has a low voltage electric line attached to me, just enough to keep my skin jumping around.

Lawyers are all assholes lemme tell ya from experience, this was the 4th time I had been rear ended by some asshat since the mid 1970's. Also had a industrial accident, fell 30' and landed on my tailbone/low back. Arm surgery for an entrapped radial nerve in my left arm that has never gone back to normal. My gall bladder out, and a  few accidents due to my own stupidity in my mid-teens. Plantar fasciitis, damage to my spine in the form of disks, and bone spurs as well as arthritis. Severe sleep apnea and RLS as well as diabetic nerve pain in my feet. I know I'm whining, still alive and that counts for something. Anyways, the lawyers have never gotten me  anything for the accidents except just barely enough to pay the doctors, no pain and suffering, for the permanent damage done to me by other assholes, drunks and illegal aliens texting.

So I'm relying on Social security disability, something all of us life long working people paid into in case of just such emergencies. But boy is it slow and hoops to jump through, and representatives who are handling my case (who will remain anonymous for now) Who have done nothing for me, in fact I have done 80% of the leg work for them by gathering all my medical history. You figure if an advocate is going to steal 6k of your settlement that they would at least try to earn it. Except for sending me medical information requests (ones I have to fill out, 6-8 pages) and my hearing in which the rep probably said 3 things to the judge I have done everything else in regards to information gathering etc.

I started this claim in 2010 I believe and I'm still being supported by my wife because I can't work.

Anyhow, this crap is the reason the bobber project is dragging along so slow. Its also keeping me and the mouse from getting out of this expensive rental home, paying this lazy ass shithole landlord 1k a month and into our home in FL which we own.

We are getting to an impasse though, soon Susie and I  will just say fuck it and move anyhow she needs to retire and we need to keep more of our money.

I thought I would try and work on the bike here but makes more sense just to pack up the house in boxes and get ready to move to FL. Once we're there I got a shop and can get back to tinkering in some small extent.

So hang in there if your waiting for the bobber project its coming. Ride safe all.
